Nine projector wide screen animation created for a National Geographic slide show in 1984. Before starting production, I preprogrammed the animation on a AVL Eagle computer. Using a pencil and write-on slides I roughed in the sequence. Working from this set of write-on slides, high contrast renderings were made and photocopied to kodalith film using a oxberry animation camera stand.
A thin piece of translucent plastic was place over the kodalith slide and reshot on EPY color slide file. This gave the eagle slide a soft glowing effect. Accurate color slides of the magazine cover were needed to create the background. It took a lot of testing to get it right but the results were worth the effort.

Due to the internet's current bandwidth restrictions this show is a fraction of it's original size and was converted to 8 Bit Color to save downloading time.
